“ I Have the Option to Rely on My Family, But I Chose to Build My Own Future-Here’s Why”
Written By: Yousaf Sufian CEO & Founder

A few months ago, I was on a call with my dad, just checking in, sharing how things were going. We started talking about my business, and he said something that stuck with me: “If this doesn’t work out, it’s fine. So what if you don’t get clients, or money? You’ve got us. We’ll always be here for you.”
At that moment, I felt a wave of gratitude. I’m incredibly lucky to have people around me who care, who genuinely want to see me succeed. But it also made me realize something: I wasn’t okay with the idea of relying on others forever. I didn’t want to be the kid who spends his time living off his family until life forces me to work and fund my own lifestyle
I want to build my future now. And yes, that means sacrificing going out with friends and messing around like others my age. It means not being out every weekend with friends or having a “normal” teenage experience. But it also means putting in the work that will pay off in the long run.
I don’t like the idea of depending on others for my success. While I know my family will always be there for me, I have to take charge of my own journey. One thing that’s certain: I don’t want to rely on anyone to fund my lifestyle or hand me everything. I need to work for what I want—and that means building something real, something that will last.
Recently, I’ve been taking a step back and realizing how lucky I am. I’ve got a supportive family, close friends, and resources that help me keep going. But above all, I know that no one is going to save me. It’s up to me to create my future, and I’m determined to do just that, for myself and for the people who have supported me.
I’ve been focusing on my business more than ever, and that means pushing through the late nights and challenges that come with building something from the ground up. But it also means taking care of myself, too. It’s a fine balance, but I know the sacrifices now will lead to the rewards later.
Lesson Learnt:
“Success isn’t about relying on others for your future—it’s about taking responsibility and working for what you want.”
Gratitude is key: Recognize the support around you, but remember, it’s up to you to create your own success.
Sacrifice brings long-term gain: Focus on the bigger picture, even if it means giving up short-term rewards.
Your future is yours to build: Take responsibility, keep pushing forward, and never depend on others to make things happen for you.
Before You Go Today:
Are you relying on others for your success, or are you taking responsibility for your own future?
What sacrifices are you willing to make now to build the life you want?
Have you considered where you’re investing your energy—and is it in the right place?
