Why Most People Fail Before They Even Start
Written By: Yousaf Sufian CEO & Founder

A while back, when I was just starting my business, I had a friend who also wanted to start something of his own. We spent time brainstorming ideas, and eventually, we decided to try dropshipping on TikTok Shop.
I worked on his branding while he copied and reposted videos from other TikTokers, showcasing trending tech products. But after a few days with no sales, he scrapped the idea and moved on. By the end of the week, he had cycled through multiple business ideas, each one with real potential. Any of them could have worked if he had just stuck with it.
The problem wasn’t the business model. It wasn’t the market. It wasn’t the products. The problem was his mindset.
He wanted fast money but wasn’t ready for the sleepless nights, the slow grind, or the patience needed to build something real. Meanwhile, I stayed focused on my business. It took time, but I eventually saw results, not because my idea was better, but because I stuck with it long enough to make it work.
Some people might argue that the businesses just weren’t right for him. Maybe. But he was passionate about all of them until things got hard. He didn’t lack ideas; he lacked vision.
Success isn’t about chasing the perfect idea. It’s about committing to one and putting in the work, even when it feels like nothing is happening.
Lesson Learned
If you jump from idea to idea, looking for the “perfect” business, you’ll never build anything. It’s not the idea, it’s your patience, consistency, and ability to push through the hard days that make the difference.
Stick with it. Results take time.
