My Friend Showed Me a GCSE Business Exam… I Don’t Even Take the Subject, but I Knew the Answers
One of my friends who actually studies GCSE Business showed me an exam paper. Out of curiosity, I looked through the questions. At first, I expected them to be complicated stuff only someone who had studied the subject would understand but as I read through it , something strange happened. I knew most of the answers.
I’ve never taken a business class, never revised for an exam, yet I understood the concepts. Not because of school but because of real experience. Running a business, making decisions, and learning from mistakes had already taught me everything I needed to know without me even realizing it.
That’s when it hit me: school teaches business like a theory, but real business isn’t about memorizing terms. It’s about solving problems, making money, adapting when things go wrong, and figuring things out as you go. No textbook can fully prepare you for that.
It’s not that business GCSE is useless it can be helpful for understanding the basics. But too many people rely on education to tell them when they’re “ready.” They spend years studying, waiting for the right qualification, thinking that once they have a certificate, they’ll finally know how to start a business. But the truth is, no classroom can replace real-world experience. You don’t learn business by reading about it you learn by doing.
Lesson Learned:
Business isn’t something you study, it’s something you do. You can pass every exam and still fail in the real world, or you can start, fail, learn, and win.
